ABOUT:

Nina Rath was born 1989 in Graz; Austria. After graduating from high school she studied Digital Media and Television at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg; Austria. In 2010 she graduated with honours and received a performance scholarship from the university for her first feature documentary. After completing her studies, she was travelling through Australia for one year. She returned to Austria in 2011 and started to work in the Austrian film and media industry and produced, directed and edited screen content for television, corporate clients, art institutions, government and more. Since 2015 she is working with the International Peace Foundation and was responsible for the film-documentation in North Korea, Indonesia and Laos during the event series “Bridges – Dialogues towards a culture of peace”. Since 2015 she is the personal assistant of HSH Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the International Peace Foundation and the 5-star hotel Almdorf Seinerzeit. In 2016 she received the Platinum Award at the Mindfield Film Festival in Los Angeles for her documentary “Treetime Stories”. This documentary has also been broadcasted at the Australian TV channel NITV. From 2017-2018 she studied Master of Screenproduction at Griffith Filmschool in Brisbane; Australia. In 2018 she finished her Master thesis about Virtual Reality (VR) in conjunction with biofeedback (HRV). She graduated with honours and received an excellency scholarship from Griffith University. She is currently working with multiple formats and genres including documentary, experimental film, poetry shorts and interactive art such as VR. Her passion is to uplift, inspire and expand human consciousness.
